Our formidable Finance Team’s success at award ceremony!
08 July 2016
Our Finance Team were recognised at the Housing Association National Accountancy (HANA) Awards.
We won an award for ‘Innovation in Financial Technology/Software’ and ‘Best Value for Money’.
And Sarah Smith, Executive Director Finance & Resources at AmicusHorizon, received a joint award for ‘Finance Director of the Year’ and ‘Overall Winner’.
The event took place at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London on 5 July with organisations from across the country shortlisted and the standard of entries extremely high.
Judges praised our focus on ‘resident involvement’ and described Sarah Smith as a ‘hugely respected and inspiring leader’.
Speaking after the award ceremony, Sarah Smith said: “I’m honoured to have been recognised as Finance Director of the Year against such incredible competition. I’m also delighted that Ken Youngman, Finance Director at Family Mosaic, was able to share the spoils! And to have been awarded a further prize as overall winners was a wonderful surprise. I’m incredibly proud of my team.”
We’ve a laser-like focus on delivering greater productivity alongside great customer service.
In 2012 we launched a major three year efficiency programme called ‘Ways of Working’.
By 2016 it had exceeded its target of £7 million - achieving £7.34 million savings for the business.
These savings, coupled with an improved operating margin and improved confidence from lenders, will ensure we deliver more new homes and services residents will value.
We’ve also improved efficiency and increased customer engagement by using Microsoft dynamics CRM (customer relationship management) software. It helps us deliver amazing customer experiences by building long-term customer relationships that are personalised, proactive, and predictive.
